We offer year round lacrosse programming from introductory to high school. See below for a full calendar of activities, and scroll all the way down for registration for currently available programs. 'LA Jazz' programs need to be registered for on the
LA Jazz page.
Winter / SpringThis is our core season with K-12 teams competing against recreational teams from around the region. We have practice multiple times a week, with games on the weekends. The age brackets are:
K - 2nd (practices only, with option to 'play up' for those ready for game action)
3rd / 4th
5th / 6th
7th / 8th
9th - 12th
Practices are at Pelican Park.
Spring / Summer
As the spring season ends, we typically prepare tournament teams under our
LA Jazz banner. We typically participate in the Big Easy Classic right here in Mandeville. Teams are available at 10U and up age brackets.
Summer
We offer an Olympic Sixes series in July to stay sharp.
We are not currently participating in any long-distance travel tournaments, but we can put you in touch with regional teams that are if your child is interested.
Fall
Fall begins with our 'Fall Clinics'. These are introductory sessions where we just use sticks (no pads!) to get newcomers started with the game, and give experienced kids a chance to warm-up and meet potential new friends and teammates. Clinics are held once a week on the weekend for four weeks.
Fall Clinics are immediately followed by Fall Ball Sixes! This is a twice-a-week, 2 hour sessions, K-8th opportunity to run some drills for about 30 mins and focus on a lot of playing. Teams will be divided by age and experience and play Sixes format lacrosse for the remainder of the evening.
Also in the fall, we travel to Ft. Walton Beach, FL in early November under our
LA Jazz banner to compete in the very fun
Surf N' Turf 7v7 tournament. Practices are held in the four weeks leading up to the tournament on Sunday evenings at Chappapeela in Hammond. We offer teams from 10U and up.
After this, we rest for the remainder of the year, until we start back up in January for our spring season!
